Our History
James Sr. "Alton" was born October 27, 1949, in Perry, Georgia. He is the youngest of two children. He graduated high school in 1969 and went to work in the cement industry for 14 years.

In 1996 Alton established Meadows Backhoe Service, starting out with just one backhoe doing odd and end jobs. Over the next 30 years, Alton grew the business into a company that developed subdivisions, built multiacre ponds, and provided professional land development services across Middle Georgia.

In 1992 James Jr. was born, and ten short years later, he started helping his dad with the business. For the next 20 years, James Jr. worked with his father, learning the trade while going through high school, finishing college, and beginning his professional career.

One year after moving to north Georgia James III, "Tripp", was born. Wanting his son to have the same opportunities he had, James Jr. established Meadows Land Solutions to continue the legacy his father started in 1996.
